    Big River Journey is a field trip on the Mississippi River which lets kids learn about ecology, birds, insects, and much more. It has been aligned with state standards. This sounds like a great program already but I see so many ways they could use technology to continue the experience after the trip is over, or provide a similar program to those who can't travel to that area.
