Virginia public schools will be required to teach students about Internet safety under a law passed by the General Assembly and signed by Gov. Timothy M. Kaine (D) last month. The law, which takes effect July 1, is designed to ensure that tech-savvy children understand the dangers lurking in cyberspace. As of 11/27/06, VA is the only state to pass such a law.
