    The Aspirnaut Initiative is a pilot program in a rural Arkansas school district. The program focuses on expanding instructional time for students who have long bus rides in rural areas by providing these students with laptops and video iPods to use for math and science learning on the bus.

This is a great regional event on the east cost that attracts 250 local and regional attendees. Priding itself on the application of learning tools into the classroom, MAHETC 2008 is a great way to learn how to engage learners with technology tools. Check it out!

    Spanish developer Exelweiss has created Emergency 112 (or Emergency 911, if you prefer, in English), a mobile game to teach first aid techniques for medical emergencies. The game was apparently created for emergency response company Area de Intervención, but it looks like it's generally available too; a demo is available from the Area de Intervención site.
