CIESE sponsors and designs interdisciplinary projects that teachers throughout the world can use to enhance their curriculum through compelling use of the Internet. We focus on projects that utilize real time data available from the Internet, and collaborative projects that utilize the Internet?s potential to reach peers and experts around the world. Below is a catalog of projects that are currently being or have been sponsored by CIESE . Each project has a brief description and links to the National Science Standards and NCTM math standards it supports.
LESTER (Learning Science and Technology Repository), an online community and database focused on innovations in learning science and technology (LST), profiles innovative research projects and researchers. Registered users can add, update, or modify records about their projects and organization, thereby keeping the information accurate and up-to-date (sort of! -BF)
Welcome to the 1999 Pass It Along Story page. For the past several years classrooms from around the world have been working together to compose exciting stories. A beginning paragraph is distributed to two groups of classrooms. Each classroom is responsible for writing a paragraph of the story and then forwarding to another classroom so the next portion of the story can be written. We hope you enjoy our story and the twists and turns we are sure will develop. Be sure to look at the story written by both Group 1 and Group 2. Each group starts with the same beginning, but they certainly end up with different stories. Have fun!

This project is open for all K - 6 grade classrooms around the world. Each class who participates will need to create either a website, a wiki, a photosite (such as bubbleshare or flickr), or a blog that shares their class involvement!
Rock Our World is an exciting International Project, involving countries on ALL SEVEN continents. Kids come collaborate to compose music, make movies hold video conferences to learn about one another.
