Vygotsky's legacy is a lineage of researchers including his co-researcher Luria, then Leonti'ev. In the United States Michael Cole and others continued research in the Vygotskian vein and generated a field of study called CHAT - Cultural Historical Activity Theory. Luis Moll did his doctoral studies with Michael Cole in New York and then at University of California at San Diego. Many more have become involved in research based upon Vygotsky's now infamous zone of proximal development and the concept of mediation in the learning process.  The links below connect to web sites or papers written by Vygotsky and his progeny. We hope you find them interesting, if not helpful in your own studies.
