    A game academic discovered that a group of kids were practicing the scientific method in order to figure out the rules governing bosses in the online game Lineage. They were coming up with hypotheses, analyzing data, finding evidence, and refining theories that explain the virtual world of the game...but didn't realize that they were conducting a form of scientific research.
